Job title: Machine Operator / Wireroom

Supervision: Wireroom Manager

Summary of Position: Performs a variety of cutting operations on various types of wire cutting machines.

Duties:

1. Responsible for cutting, stripping and crimping wire and cables using computerized and robotic machines.
2. Follow various Assembly Instructions/Cut Sheets for cutting and stripping.
3. Basic machine trouble shooting.
4. Follow Lock/Out, Tag/Out procedures.
5. Ability to identify quality problems and initiate necessary corrective action.

Requirements:

1. Set up wire and cable cutting machines in a timely manner using mechanical aptitude.
2. Able to distinguish colors.
3. Have excellent manual dexterity.
4. Able to lift and carry 25 lbs. on a repeated basis.
5. Able to stand or sit for eight (8) hours a day.
6. Able to use various measuring devices (scales, micrometer, calipers) to verify product quality.
7. Able to read small print.
8. Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
9. Perform special assignments and other duties as required.
