Job title: Mechanical Assembler

Department: Manufacturing

Supervision: Manufacturing Section Manager

Summary of Position: Using ESAM Assembly Instructions, the Mechanical Assembler builds components to customer specifications. This position tests assemblies and trouble shoots problems, reporting status to manager and updates material requests.

Duties:

  1. Follow verbal and written instructions.
  2. Perform various assembly operations working from samples, sketches, wire schematics and drawings.
  3. Use various hand tools.
  4. Understand torque values and use wrench properly.
  5. Ensure workmanship meets regulations and specifications.
  6. Fill out paperwork: Certs, test, inspection, etc. . .
  7. Work under time constraints.
  8. Perform special assignments and other duties as directed.

Requirements:

  1. Able to distinguish colors.
  2. Able to read small print.
  3. Have excellent manual dexterity.
  4. Stand or sit for eight (8) or more hours per day.
  5. Basic computer knowledge.
  6. Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
