Summary of Position:
The First Article Technician will be responsible for building and validating cable and harness assemblies in accordance with AS9100 Rev D standards and customer-supplied documentation. The role involves conducting first article prototype development, ensuring compliance with quality requirements, and working closely with engineering and production teams to achieve optimal results.
Duties:
- Be a self-starter and work with little supervision.
- Review customer supplied prototype specifications.
- Generate the assembly instructions for prototype assemblies.
- Build cable and harness assemblies per customer-supplied documentation and engineering drawings.
- Identify and document any discrepancies or issues during the assembly and processes.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and engineering teams to resolve any issues.
- Perform special assignments and other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Able to distinguish colors.
- Able to read small print.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications.
- Have excellent manual dexterity.
- Stand or sit for eight (8) or more hours per day.
- Computer literate.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
